As a Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for the safety and security of all client’s employees and visitors. They will manage, professionally develop, motivate and assess the G4S Security Team assigned to the client facility.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. and client’s senior management; manage the daily security operations of the client’s facility; implement client’s security directives; build community partnerships with local law enforcement agencies; provide emergency response as necessary
  • General Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to client management when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures including worldwide business standards; ensure the security team receives required training on a consistent basis; implement security programs; ensure physical security measures and practices are enforced to insure Client’s facility management directives are carried out continuously
  • General Human Resources management; participate in selection and placement, conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, and conflict resolution; scheduling; payroll
  • Review alarm system open/close reports, compile exception reports and forward to appropriate security manager/operations manager for review
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly report to the facilities management detailing all pertinent activities that have occurred in the previous month concerning any security and safety issues
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annual review and revise the security Emergency Response plan; conducting risk assessments; participate in safety meetings, attend any/all on-site meetings involving security related processes
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues; conduct weekly/ monthly/quarterly audits

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of work experience showing aptitude for assisting in the operational management of a large semi-independent business enterprise
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
  • Work history to include each of the following:
    • Managing emergency preparedness and response procedures
    • Implementing corporate security directives, building community partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies, implementing security programs, managing security personnel, conducting risk assessments, enforcing physical security measures and practices to ensure the client directives are carried out on an ongoing basis
    • Leading a diverse team of security personnel
    • Proven ability to make decisions without senior management present based upon security operational guidelines
    • Must possess a high aptitude with computer systems to include CCTV, Access Control
    • Must possess strong administrative and leadership abilities necessary to manage the daily security operations of a Client’s facility

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching.
