Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Sector Manager. In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of supervision and program leadership of all Transportation Officers in your assigned sector of the client contract. You will serve as a liaison between G4S Secure Solutions USA and the client's first line supervision and management team. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that the desired level and quality of security services are provided and that compliance with all U.S. Customs and Border Patrol issued directives and state laws is maintained.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Program management:  Organize and prioritize, meet deadlines,  manage complex security-related and administrative projects, develop related plans, policies and procedures
  • Safety management:  Serve on the Safety Committee for SWBTC; locally manage and conduct program management of all safety related matters to include a driver safety program, blood borne pathogen and airborne particulates awareness and safety training
  • Training management:  Ensure that project training program is compliant
  • Operational management: Directly supervise the supervisors assigned to him/her; assign specific tasking and projects for completion to the supervisors; provided periodic verbal and/or performance evaluations of each supervisor and officers to the Operations Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing, including driver's license or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in management/supervisory work experience in security or law enforcement related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in management-level position serving as primary communications link between service provider and customer
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in prisoner transport
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, Combat Arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by state
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Post offer, qualified candidates must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing
    • Reliability Assessment testing
    • Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, maneuvering up to 30 pounds, and limited stretching and reaching
