Job Introduction:

Working within the Hard Services and must be a highly motivated individual working as part of the  Hard Services team delivering key support across the delivery functions on the Hinkley Point C contract, the largest construction site in Europe.

Responsible for implementing Building & Plant maintenance works 

Within the HPC project agreement are Key Performance Indicators aligned to this service for which the post holder will be responsible.

Role Responsibility:

This is an exciting time to join the team at Hinkley Point C, just a year and a half into our ten year contract. Two days are rarely the same, with an extremely diverse task list in a rapidly changing construction environment.

The Maintenance Technician is 40 hours per week and is expected;

  • To be responsible for impleenting Building and Plant maintenance works
  • To perform reactive repair & maintenance tasks as designated by HPC helpdesk team.
  • To respond to Building Management Systems generated alarms and faults.
  • To perform planned Workspace Re-engineering tasks
  • To assist in maintenance of Computer Aided Design layout drawings.
  • To perform the duties of an Accompanying Safety Person
  • Raise work requests through Computer Aided Facility Management system to ensure furaceability of works carried out
  • To follow Health & Safety policy and Safe Systems of Work Procedures
  • To work with other craft qualified, semi-skilled and non-skilled maintenance staff to develop cross-skilling and cover all levels and aspects of maintenance activities on a team work basis.
  • To participate in on call duties
  • Maintenance inspection and repairs to various assets, building fabric and estate eg. furniture, internal and external fixtures & fittings, grounds, access and partking. etc.

  • Maintenance Experience
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety Procedures
  • Working knowledge of PAT Testing
  • Must be PC literate, MS Office
  • Good Communicator
  • Reliable, conscientious with an eye for detail
  • Desirably NVQ level 4 or equivalent in a Technical discipline
  • Be aware of the Data Protection Act
  • Should have a 'hands on' approach
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible approach
