The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Applicant Screening Specialist. As an Applicant Screening Specialist, you will be responsible for responsible for administrative support of the selection and placement process for the branch office. This role will maintain primary responsibility for initial quality assurance of applicant flow and will liaise with operations, administration, human resources and candidates to schedule interviews inside and outside of the ATS. This position will focus their time by proactively sourcing, screening and qualifying armed and unarmed security officers, Supervisors, and any other specialized security positions as needed. Attention to detail and thorough documentation of the selections and placement process inside of the ATS is of the utmost importance to this role.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Answer incoming calls, forwarding to appropriate person for action
  • Assist in selection and placement process (e.g., prepare application packets, hire packets, schedule interviews and pre/post employment training, enter data in the Human Resources Information System [HRIS])
  • Filing and maintenance of personnel documents
  • Makes copies of printed materials as needed
  • Assist in maintaining office machines
  • Other administrative office duties as directed

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum 1 year of work experience in a fast-paced, detail oriented administrative or direct customer service role
  • Must possess 1 year of recruiting experience in a high-volume environment to include outreach, selection, onboarding and placement
  • Work history must include each of demonstration of each of the following:
    • Excellent organizational skills that include the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Strength in screening and interviewing job candidates
    • Strong candidate sourcing experience that includes both traditional and online resources
    • Sound understanding and use of online/electronic application systems

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting.  Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
